There must be a need, other than a shortage of money
or living on a state benefit.
Applicants must have lived in Bristol for more than
2 consecutive years.
Only 1 grant will be awarded in any 12 month period.
A maximum of 3 grants will be awarded to an applicant.
Grants will normally be considered for the following items:
- Bedding / Beds
- Carpets
- Clothing to school age children, aged 5 to 15, where more than 1 child is at school – one off voucher per child.
- Cookers
- Fridges / Fridge freezers
- Furniture – second hand / reconditioned
- Safety equipment
- Washing machines
The following items, purchased through the “retained ownership scheme” will be considered:
- Wheelchairs
- Electric wheelchairs
- Electric powered chairs / electric scooters
- Standard stair lifts
- Stair lifts with manual platform
- Stair lifts with powered platform

Work starts on the new John Foster’s Almshouse in Henbury, north Bristol
