  • There must be a need, other than a shortage of money
    or living on a state benefit.
  • Applicants must have lived in Bristol for more than
    2 consecutive years.
  • Only 1 grant will be awarded in any 12 month period.
  • A maximum of 3 grants will be awarded to an applicant.
  • Grants will normally be considered for the following items:
    • Bedding / Beds
    • Carpets
    • Clothing to school age children, aged 5 to 15, where more than 1 child is at school – one off voucher per child.
    • Cookers
    • Fridges / Fridge freezers
    • Furniture – second hand / reconditioned
    • Safety equipment
    • Washing machines
  • The following items, purchased through the “retained ownership scheme” will be considered:
    • Wheelchairs
    • Electric wheelchairs
    • Electric powered chairs / electric scooters
    • Standard stair lifts
    • Stair lifts with manual platform
    • Stair lifts with powered platform
